Brigadier Khomo Mohobo is a native of Pitseng in Leribe district. The General was commissioned in 1997 into the Directorate of Legal Services, where he served for over a decade, attaining promotions until he was appointed the Director Legal Services in 2008.
The General went through seminars that strengthened his experience in the field of law that include: Seminar on Law of Armed Conflict, International Legal Studies and Executive Seminar on Military Justice, Swaziland in 2001, The Role of Law and Disciplined Military Operations, Executive Seminar on Law, The Media and the Military in Botswana in 2002, Civil Military Relations, the Security Challenge of Small Arms and Light Weapons Proliferation in Africa seminar.
The General is an alumnus of Zimbabwe Army Command and Staff College, pursuing Senior Command & Staff Course. He also pursued Junior Staff Course, Peace Support Operations and International Peace Support Briefing Programme. He is also an alumnus of the USA National Defence University and Asia Pacific Centre for Security Studies, USA.
Academically inclined, the General is a graduate of National University of Lesotho holding Bachelor of Arts in Law (BA Law) and Bachelor of Laws (LLB). In a distinguished military career exceeding two decades, the General has been appointed the Defence Attache in Ethiopia where he became Africa Military Staff Committee member from 2012 to 2016.
He was also appointed the Military Assistant to the office of the Commander for almost three years. The General's decorations include; the "Military Medal for Meritorious Service" (MMMS), "Grand Night" (GNM) and "Officer Medal" (OM) among others.
