In September 2024, the British High Commission Ambassador to Lesotho, Ambassador Harry, visited a group of World War II veterans in Lesotho to honor their brave contributions during the second world war. The visit was attended by Ambassador ‘s delegation Mr. Thomson from Royal Common Wealth Service League, Coordinator from Bloemfontein, representatives from Lesotho’s government, DPS Defence, Maj Gen Mohobo on behalf of the Commander LDF, Director Veterans Affairs Col Linale, the Lesotho Veterans Coordinator Mr Tsehlana and two (2) veterans Cpl Sematlane and Sgt Khaile. The primary purpose of the visit was to commemorate the invaluable contributions made by the veterans during WWII and to strengthen the bilateral ties between the United Kingdom and Lesotho.
